Helicopter flight Zeeland XL
There is no better way to enjoy the beauty of Zeeland than by helicopter. Water, polders, ring villages, bridges and dams offer an unforgettable panoramic spectacle. We fly past beautiful locations, such as Zoutelande, Cadzand, the Zeeland Bridge, Storm Surge Barrier, Kop van Schouwen-Duiveland and much more! In addition, we regularly see seals during this route!
As soon as we take off, we fly past Zierikzee. This iconic, medieval place is beautiful to see from the air. With the canals, the old city gates and the old and new harbour. We fly to Noord-Beveland via the Zeeland Bridge. From Noord-Beveland we fly along the Veerse Meer to Veere. Veere has an old fortress that is clearly visible from the air. We are now heading for Middelburg. Once again an iconic city with a rich Zeeland history. From Middelburg it is only a short flight to Vlissingen. We dive along the Boulevard of Vlissingen along the Western Scheldt. As soon as we have passed the boulevard, we fly towards Zoutelande. Here we can see the highest dunes in Zeeland, up to a height of 51 meters! We fly through the farthest corner of Walcheren, namely Westkapelle. We keep flying over the beach. We pass Domburg and Vrouwenpolder.
From Vrouwenpolder we fly past the storm surge barrier to Schouwen-Duiveland. The storm surge barrier is spectacular to see from the air. This enormous building is an icon of Zeeland. From the air we see the large doors that can close off the Oosterschelde from the North Sea. The current that causes the barrier can be seen very well from the air. We continue the route via the beach of the Kop van Schouwen. Along the Lighthouse of Haamstede. Pay attention during this route, we regularly see seals! After passing Renesse we arrive at the Brouwersdam where we have a beautiful view over the Grevelingenmeer. With numerous islands, the Grevelingenmeer is a completely different environment than the Oosterschelde. We now fly back to Zierikzee via the Dijkwater for landing.
