Helicopter tour Midden-Zeeland
There is no better way to experience the beauty of Zeeland! Small villages, dams, bridges, polders and iconic historical places! On a clear day you can even see Rotterdam and Antwerp!
During this flight we are passing some very interesting locations. First we are passing the Schelphoek. In this area the scars of the disaster of 1953 are still visible. The breaking of a dike leaves a strong remembrance of a troubled period in Zeelands history. Shortly after we have a glimpse at the Plompe toren. This tower once served as church tower centuries ago before a flood destroyed the village.
We continue the route along the Stormvloedkering. To see the sea wall from above is truly spectacular. The currents in the water, the length of the manmade structure and the immense doors that can keep the water away. After the Stormvloedkering we will pass the Veerse Meer and historical town Veere.
The route continues through the Zak van Zuid Beveland, an area known for its green and small polders. In the distance we can see already the white pillars of the Zeelandbrug. While flying passed the Zeelandbrug we are arriving again at the heliport Zierikzee!
