Helicopter flight over Schouwen Duiveland!
Nature, seals, beaches, lighthouses, dunes and of course the Storm Surge and all from a helicopter! This is how you have never seen Schouwen Duiveland!
Our helicopters are designed so that everyone has a beautiful view. During the flight you will receive headphones and the pilot will tell you what you can see so you do not miss anything! You can also chat comfortably with your fellow passenger. Of course it is so nice if you have a memory of this helicopter flight so we give you all the time for taking pictures and movies!
One of our favorite routes!
What do we see during this helicopter flight above Schouwen Duiveland:
We take off from our heliport between Zierikzee and Schuddebeurs. Immediately during take-off we see the thick tower of Zierikzee with the Zeeland Bridge just behind it. After we reach the altitude, we calmly head west and fly past the Oosterschelde National Park. In the distance you will see the impressive Oosterscheldekering already appear. Before we reach the Oosterscheldekering we still fly past the Schelphoek. This characteristic piece of landscape clearly shows the scar that the 1953 disaster has left behind. A little further we see the “Plompe Toren”, a remaining church tower of a drowned village.
From the Storm Surge Barrier we follow the beach via the Kop van Schouwen Duiveland. Characteristic is the lighthouse of Haamstede. Along this beach we regularly see seals, mostly in tens of sunbathing on the dry sandbanks. Then we fly back via the Brouwersdam. At the Brouwersdam we see the kite surfers and the surfers in action!
From the Brouwersdam you have a beautiful view over the Grevelingenmeer. With good visibility we can even see Rotterdam and the Maasvlakte from this point! We fly along the water and pass Brouwershaven. From there we can clearly see Zierikzee. With a spectacular finish we end again at the heliport!
